COLOSSEO QUADRATO came to life from the desire to document the influence of De Chirico's Metaphysics on the Roman urban landscape. Allegory of this artistic movement is the EUR district, where the "Palace of Italian Civilization" (also known as the Square Colosseum) stands: the mysterious and suspended atmosphere that we breathe while observing its 216 arches pushed me to work solely on this imposing structure, which embodies both rationalist and metaphysical principles.
